St. Francis Hospice

I speak from experience when I say, "They really are there when you need them."
When my husband received the news, his mother had less than three months to live, his entire world changed. He wondered how he and his siblings could possibly manage to care for their dying mother 24 hours a day, when there were only three of them. Little did they know, St Francis Hospice would be there to aid them through the entire dying process. They were amazing!
The Hospice Chaplin was there to comfort them, guide them and bring them peace during this challenging time. The Social Worker took care of all the tedious details and counseled with them on the psychological aspects of their loved one's death. They provided aides to bath her and change her linens. The nurse saw that she had plenty of medicine to control the physical pain that cancer brings with it. I can't think of a single task they did not assist them with. Even after their mother's passing, they were there to assist them through the grieving period with follow up visits, phone calls and letters of encouragement.
The STEEL HORSE Riders saw the needs of the St. Francis Hospice and held a fundraising event to raise money for the much needed supplies that keeps them able to carry on the enormous task of helping families of the St. Francis patience that are terminally ill. And, thanks to all of the bikers that attended the Oct. 17th Poker Run, over $1000 was raised. Blue Star Mothers of America

I was asked if our club could help out with postage. When I mentioned it to the club, without hesitation, they were more than generous in their giving.
